Lantek breaks the 12,000 customer barrier
Lantek's international business has seen significant growth during the first half of 2012 with more than 800 new customers. Particularly high growth rates have been recorded in many countries including Spain, Italy, China, Korea and the USA, enabling the company to consolidate its position as a leading developer and supplier of CADCAM, MES and ERP solutions for the sheet metal and structural steel sector. This success has been crowned by the breaking of the barrier for 12,000 customers worldwide for its software solutions.
The 12,000th customer, Germanic Lamator GmbH, formed in 1906 and located in Torgau, Germany manufactures agricultural machinery and implements. It has recently commissioned a CNC laser and punching machine, and installed Lantek Expert to maximize material utilization and generate CNC code for the new machine, and Lantek Integra to optimize its management processes. To commemorate this milestone achievement, Lantek organized a special event at in Torgau where Patricia Weber, Sales Director of Germanic Lamator received an award from Klaus Bauer, Manager of Lantek Germany.
Alberto Martinez, Manager of Lantek says, "We are delighted to announce our 12,000th customer for Lantek products. Our metal processing market is very specific so this is a considerable achievement and recognizes the hard work and dedication of the team at Lantek and our network of international partners, especially when one considers the impact that the later stages of the economic crisis have had on decision making and economic activity."
The figure of 12,000 customers is a mark of the continuous and steady growth achieved by Lantek over recent years. 800 of these new users were added during the first half of 2012 alone, driven by the latest product developments and service enhancements offered by Lantek as a result of customer feedback. Other drivers include expansion into new sectors such as structural steel and steel stockholders, the company's commitment to expansion in emerging markets and a strategy for establishing technological alliances leading to new innovative products. This combination of methodology will fuel Lantek's growth for years to come and strengthen its international presence.
Lantek achieved an increase in turnover of 14% during 2011 by following these strategies and has recently strengthened its international coverage by opening several new branches including one in Wuhan, China. The plan for 2012 is on target and is expected to close with a further increase in turnover of 13% and about 13,000 customers, in line with the company's strategic plan for 2011-2013.
A breakdown by regions shows Spain with 2,000 customers, Italy 1,612, Korea 1,137, China 1,052 followed by France, Brazil, Germany, USA, United Kingdom, Turkey Portugal and Poland, all of which have a high concentration of industrial users. New customers in the UK include C.
